Released my first gameplay footage!

This is my first official gameplay footage that I'm uploading, and gosh I've been hemming and hawing over this for some time. Do I just record and upload raw footage? Or do I dive into the deep rabbit hole of video editing to try and provide a better viewing experience the way some of other content creators that I love have done?

I opted for the rabbit hole route and honestly almost went too far down. I realized that at some point, it's better for me to just release something and iterate over time. So, here's the first three games that I played at the very start of the year. That's right. January 1st, 2025.
At this time, I was self-assessed around 3.25 DUPR rating, so that's the division I tried to stay in for the most part. I have some challenge games to show later where I was asked to fill in for higher level courts, but more on that in the upcoming video.
Alright. Enough said. Let's get to the games!
We end with a result of 2W and 1L, but gosh when I tell you that starting off the year with getting pickled, whelp that was something that I just had to laugh about. After all, nowhere to go but up from there right? 😅 And as a minor spoiler, that's not the only time I get pickled that day...
As I was reviewing editing the gameplay, gosh I can't tell you the number of facepalms moments I had as I watched myself play. The three main takeaways from these games would be:
- Poor positioning which led to having to make a lot mistakes since my footing was off.
- Bad resets. I popped the ball up so many times it made my head spin...
- Consistently lobbing the ball when I saw both my opponents were in the kitchen and I just wanted an easy way out. It's not that lobbing is a bad strategy, but it shouldn't be my go to because I'm scared.
Alright. That's a wrap today. If you have any questions or have feedback, please be drop a comment down below. Thanks for watching and I hope to catch you in the next video!
